Services
Two main types of lift are available – standard
crane hire and contract lifts. Essentially, if you or your
organisation does not have expertise in lifting operations
or do not hold appropriate insurance cover, you should
always opt for a contract lift.
Contract Lifts
We provide a full Contract lift service,
eliminating the need for you to prepare a method statement and
risk assessment and passing responsibility for the management
and supervision of the lift operation over to us, thereby reducing
risk and ensuring the lift complies fully with BS7121. Our insurance
covers us for £10 million
public and products liability and £5 million employers liability.
Our appointed persons will carry out a site survey to assess
your crane requirements and prepare a method statement and risk
assessment detailing how the lift will be carried out. Where necessary
we will contact the local authority on your behalf to arrange road
closure licences and we will provide all equipment, trained operators
and banksman/slingers to carry out the job, plus an appointed person
to supervise the lifting operation itself.
Crane Hire
Under our standard crane hire, responsibility for planning and
supervising the lift remains with the customer, along with the
insurance liability. We will supply the crane and operator and
can also provide banksman/slingers for you depending on your needs.
A separate insurance package can be arranged if you do not have
the appropriate cover available.
Free estimates and site surveys
A proper assessment of each job is essential and we undertake
estimates, lift studies and site visits free of charge and with
absolutely no customer commitment required.
